Raspberry Pi M.2 HAT+ Compact
The Raspberry Pi M.2 HAT+ Compact is a new version of the original Raspberry Pi M.2 HAT+ designed to fit inside the Raspberry Pi 5 Case, enabling you to connect M.2 peripherals such as NVMe drives and AI accelerators to Raspberry Pi 5’s PCIe 2.0 interface, supporting fast (up to 500 MB/s) data transfer.
Thanks to the L-shaped design and low-profile header fitting, the Raspberry Pi M.2 HAT+ Compact can be used with Raspberry Pi's official Pi 5 case, without getting in the way of the integrated cooling fan and heatsinks (with the lid on too!). Not compatible with the Active cooler.
The HAT connects to your Raspberry Pi 5 using the built-in (non-replaceable) PCIe ribbon cable and GPIO pins. No additional cable is required.
This compact form-factor can only support 2230-size NVMe SSDs. If you need something to support 2242, 2260 or even 2280 SSDs, check out our SSD HAT section for a great range of options.
