M-Bus Master Shield for Arduino MKR

This shield for the Arduino MKR will extend your board with smart metering functions!

The M-BUS MKR Shield provides a small M-Bus Master interface to connect power meters or other M-Bus devices directly to the M-Bus terminals of the shield.

You can find the M-Bus Slave Shield here

Features

  • M-Bus (Meter-Bus) Master
  • Compatible to European standard EN 13757-2
  • For the remote reading of consumption meters
  • For up to 6 unit-loads (9mA)
  • Powered by an external 9-30V DC voltage (36V for the MBUS will be generated internally from this voltage)
  • Galvanically isolated interface
  • Miniature screw terminals for bus and power supply connection
  • Stacked headers
  • For Arduino MKR series and Arduino Portenta H7

Software Examples

Zihatec provides a simple data repeater code example to analyse M-BUS data via a connected PC and also a basic M-BUS master to readout M-BUS slaves directly with the Arduino MKR.
